AZTI Summer School 2026 offers hands-on training on Tikta, a free software developed within the framework of the European Horizon Europe project GES4SEAS. Tikta is designed to support cumulative pressure risk assessment on marine ecosystems and the evaluation of environmental status.
The course is structured over three days and will feature contributions from scientists involved in the GES4SEAS project, who will share their expertise and practical experience.
The maximum number of participants is limited to 30.
The Horizon Europe project B-Cubed is organising a training series that will focus on emerging approaches that help make biodiversity data more actionable in practice. The series consists of six live sessions, held on consecutive Fridays at 15:00 CET.

The Doctoral Programme in Planetary Health at the University of Lisbon addresses critical global challenges at the intersection of health, environmental, social, and political sciences. Through a holistic approach, the programme equips students to tackle complex issues that cross ecological and societal boundaries. VLIZ is hiring a researcher/research project manager to coordinate and support a number of European projects. Tasks involve (but are not limited to): 1) support the digital innovation and building tools in the European digital Twin Ocean for aquatic animal movement observations and analyses (DTOTrack, DTO-Bioflow); 2) help maintain the Belgian Permanent Acoustic Receiver Network and assure efficient dataflow towards the European Tracking Network database; 3) support fish tagging activities at sea (Elasmon); 4) help develop indicators for fish to assess and protect ecosystem health (NorTrack, Elasmon).

Project members will share with you their knowledge and best practices on Research Software Excellence, as well as EVERSE news and updates. You will also have a chance to have your say on what issues are the most important for the research software community across different domains. The event is in person (at CERN, Switzerland), and remote.
