The EU initiative Destination Earth (DestinE) is organising its third user exchange meeting on October 15-16, 2024, in Darmstadt, Germany. This event, hosted by EUMETSAT, will be an in-person gathering with options for online participation. Destination Earth, implemented by EUMETSAT, ECMWF, and ESA, is developing a high-precision digital model of Earth to monitor, simulate, and predict environmental changes and human impacts, supporting sustainable development measures. The meeting brings together current and prospective users of DestinE, system developers, and stakeholders to share information, showcase applications, and gather feedback on the newly launched initial version of the DestinE system.
BioDT project will have a notable presence at the Third Destination Earth User Exchange Meeting. Four representatives from the project will be attending: Jesse Harrison (CSC), Tero Aalto (CSC), Dirk Pleiter (KTH), and Gabriela Zuquim (CSC), with the latter participating online. Read more.
