GERI is an integrated network of site-based research infrastructures dedicated to better understand the function and change of indicator ecosystems across global biomes. The organisation aims to support excellent science that can also inform political and managerial decision-making addressing grand societal challenges.

BID: Biodiversity Information for Development - 2025 call for proposals

Biodiversity Information for Development (BID) is a multi-year programme funded by the European Union and led by GBIF – the Global Biodiversity Information Facility, with the aim of enhancing capacity for effective mobilisation and use of biodiversity data in research and policy in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Pacific islands.

The programme has opened calls for concept notes from the Pacific and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) regions.

Two types of grants are available:

1. Institutional-level biodiversity data mobilization grants: Funding up to €30,000

2. Multi-institutional biodiversity data mobilization grants: Funding up to €60,000

Concept notes are required to be submitted in English through the GBIF Grants Portal by 27 May 2025 23:59 CEST (UTC+2).
